A CREATIVE DIRECTOR CAPTURING THE CO-EXISTENCE

BETWEEN HUMANS & NATURE

ANIEk-01.png

Hi, my name is Anie Los Kawm Khang!

Throughout my career, I have always coordinated and designed photo sets for beauty portraits. However, I want to move away from this and focus my energy on creating work that resonates with me morally, ethically, and academically.

Gifted the name that means “to learn,” I use my Hmong name to represent my work and brand. To do this, I use my academic background and passion in sustainability and political science/advocacy to advance my personal knowledge on this topic, along with educating the people around me. My mission is to create art that is sustainable and thought-provoking in hopes to educate and bring awareness to climate change, conservation, environmental justice, and human interaction with nature.

My portfolio consists of beauty portraits, fur baby portraits, fun and creative headshots, and woke nature photoshoots.

los kawm was founded in 2025.

FUN FACTS ABOUT ME:

- My favorite foods are burgers and cheesecakes.

- I have been planning events since I was in elementary school which allowed me to develop the skills I needed to excel in my specific creative field.

- I have an obsession with fun and colorful button up shirts along with collecting fun hair clips.

The Best Job I Can Ever Ask For

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

As a Creative Director, I collaborate with local and emerging artists, models, photographers, and other creatives to bring art to life that expresses my creative and educational ideas.

P.S. This is my logo and it’s designed to represent all the different factors (nature, education, & photography) of my role as a Creative Director.

NATURE AS MY FOCUS

At the core of my work, I center nature as my sole inspiration. I educate myself in how I can work and co-exist with nature as a human being and that allows me to create work that are sustainable and meaningful.

EDUCATION MATTERS

The reason why I focus so much on photographing and creating around nature is because of my academic background in sustainability and conserving nature. I want to portray the importance of what I have learned throughout my academic journey through my work to my audience.

BEING AUTHENTIC

I am human and I am aware of how often I make mistakes. As flawless as my work is, I am personally not perfect or put together as I want to be. Therefore, I present myself to others in my most authentic version, which is the person that I am now, whoever that person may be at the moment. With that being said, I also encourage others that walk into my creative space to be their most authentic selves.

MY LATEST PROJECT

A Place Called Home

My most recent project, A Place Called Home, is a project based on human emotions and how those emotions are experienced within a natural environment. I wanted to display.
